WoW, I need to work on updating this...

HeyHiHello!

It's been, well, a few months. But I've finally come back! If anyone reads this (leave a comment if you're reading this!), my friend, Jon did a 25 things about himself. I've recently started talking to Jon, and let me tell you - he's one of the most courageous people that I've never met. I guess that doesn't really count... But whatever, read his blog! You'll probably be a better person by doing so. Anyway, I guess it's my turn for the 25 now!

  1. My initials are MVP. It was my dad's idea, and it would've been the same if I had been born a boy, too.
  2. While, besides God, I love my parents more than anything, I aspire to be like them in very few ways. I just don't agree with the decisions they've made or what they choose to do with their lives.
  3. I loveloveLOVE to read. My favorite author is Jodi Picoult. I had to read My Sister's Keeper last year for book club, and I was in complete awe. I advise everyone to read it(!!)
  4. Grammar and spelling are both very important to me. I can't stand it when people say things like, "I seen that" or "That ain't no good". It drives me nuts! It's one thing that makes me wish I didn't live in Wisconsin, so I wouldn't have to hear it every stinking day.
  5. No matter how bad the teams are, my heart will always belong to Bucky, The Pack, and Crew. That's saying something, considering Wisconsin's Football and Basketball teams both choke at the end of a game no matter how much they're ahead by, the Packer's don't know when to fire A-Rod (yes, that's what I call him), and we can't give CC a considerable contract to save our life. Just the same, the Yankees will always have a special place in my heart, thanks to my Grandfather :)
  6. I'm very, extremely politically opinionated: I get judged for it often, being called and "extremist", but I also ALWAYS make sure that I let people speak their mind.... I just always have an answer to make them sound stupid.. Just kidding!
  7. I'm very sarcastic. I like to joke that I'm "fluent" as if it were a language.
  8. I'm terrible, horrible at science. I don't know if it's the teachers, or if I just assume I won't do well in the class, and therefore, don't try as hard as I do in other classes.
  9. I don't understand why teachers give out treats for their students when they all get work done on time. In my perspective, you shouldn't reward a student for doing something they should already know to do. It's rather ridiculous.
  10. Documentary's on National Geographic and The History Channel fascinate me. My new favorite is "Hard Time" about gritty prisons in the US.
  11. My BlackBerry, however extremely pesky, is always by my side. I easily get annoyed when I don't have it with me, and the only time it's really ever off or I don't answer it immediately is in church or with family during the holidays. It's pathetic, but I can't help it. Oh, and whatever you do, DON'T GET THE PEARL!
  12. I'll be 16 this May, and I haven't even gotten my temps for driving yet. It's estimated that I'll get them in the middle of July.
  13. I love tennis and softball! I'm really, really nervous for try-outs in less than two weeks!
  14. I'm absolutely terrified of disappointing my parents. Sometimes I cry just thinking about it.
  15. College is something that I'm looking forward to, maybe too much. I've been thinking Wisconsin if I have to stay in state, and Winthrop or something else East Coast-y. Maybe even Berkley if I get the opportunity! I plan on majoring in Poli Sci or Psychology, then Law School if it's the right thing for me.
  16. God has shown me more than I ever thought possible, all in a matter of a year.
  17. I'm an only child, and while it's kind of embarassing to admit, I'm very, very spoiled- I'm the only grandchild on my fathers side and only biological grandchild on my mom's; needless to say, I'm basically set for life.... :)
  18. I crack my knuckles/elbow/toes/ankles/neck/back all the time, I know I'll probably be crippled by the time I'm like, 30, but I have no idea how to stop.
  19. I have a problem with getting in the way of softballs, I've gotten black eye's during my 7th and 8th grade season, a big lip last year, and last night I got hit with a 60 mph ball bunting. I guess I just have bad luck.
  20. I really, really want to get my palm read.
  21. Russia endlessly fascinates me. The fact that the country's government constantly changes and is so secretive, is crazy, unimaginable and infatuating all at the same time.
  22. I love all kinds of music. Hip Hop, Country, Gangsta Rap, Rock, Hard-Core, Pop, Ska, Screamo. All of it can be appreciated.
  23. Jon & Kate + 8 & House M.D. are my favorite TV shows. I think that the kids (albeit Maddy Gosselin) are adorable, and House drives me nuts by being ruthless, hardly ever thinking about the patient.
  24. I love, LOVE driving fast. Audi's are my favorite, my step-father's s8 and a family friends TT are insane, if I'm ever financially secure enough (and already have atleast two american cars), I will buy one.
  25. I don't date. It's not that I don't like having a boyfriend- it's just that everything about a boyfriend makes it complicated, and I refuse to be restricted because of someone I'm not going to be with for more than, say, 5 months. It's just not worth it.

hopefully I didn't bore you too bad!

have a good one!

~Mary
